About Us
We are based in Alsager, Cheshire in the UK just 3 miles off Junction 16 of the M6.
My name is Stephanie Hurstfield & along with the support of my husband Philip we formed SpanishHorses.net. We are not primarily breeders but specialise in the acquisition & marketing of select Pure Bred Spanish Horses located in the UK & Spain.
The horses are very carefully hand picked for Correctness, Temperament & Trainability – with emphasis on youngstock and younger horses.
A selection of some of the horses we offer are on our website, but more often than not we search for a specific horse for every individual client.
Our success is based primarily on 30 years comprehensive knowledge of the PRE & the breed’s conformation, a good trained eye & thoroughness supported by our professional & Client integrity at all times.
My, (Steph’s) introduction to the breed started when I was 12 years old as a result of my family emigrating to Cataluña. I got involved with a local family dedicated to Breeding & Training PRE horses, they took me under their wing because of my devoted interest.& the rest is history...!
At seventeen I spent 3 seasons at the Finca of Don Pedro Domeque in Andalucía working along side his staff “a la Vaquera” tending his livestock – Horses & fighting Bulls.
“If I could relive any part of my life it would be this bit!”.
My contact & allegiance with Spain & the Horses is forged by the quantity of time I have spent there & admiration of the PRE. As a result of this work I have met & continue to meet breeders & trainers, judges & enthusiasts of all disciplines involved with the breed.
SpanishHorses.net is a result of this & what I enjoy doing most.
